Royal complex mentioned by medieval chronicler found!

For a long preiod of time historians and archeologists wanted to find a royal palace of king Raedwald that was mentioned by chronicler Beda. The place was identified back in 2007 but dig began in 2022. Researchers were suprised how big the finding is. They say it was "the heart of a living society" and that it has many things suggesting living there was pretty advanced. Coins, pottery, jewellery and many more were found. It shows that people in Anglo-Saxon England may be more advanced socially than we think. Source: https://www.bbc.com/news/uk-england-suffolk-67556575
